Demo Build

This site is a fictional demo by Lunar Web Studio LLC — a full-service web design studio. Cedar Hollow Community Church is not a real church.

Our Story

Twenty-three years in the hollow.

Cedar Hollow began in 2003 as a Bible study of seven families meeting in the Whitford family living room. By 2006, that group had grown to 80 and rented space at the local elementary school for Sunday gatherings.

In 2014, generous gifts from the congregation made it possible to renovate a former community center on Cedar Hollow Road — the building you'll find us in today. We've stayed intentionally mid-sized: large enough to do real ministry, small enough that you're known by name.

Today we're a multi-generational family of about 380 adults plus kids and students, drawn from across Buncombe County and the surrounding mountains.

Our Mission

Make disciples who love God, love people, and serve the world.

Everything we do at Cedar Hollow is shaped by that one sentence. We believe a healthy church creates space for ordinary people to encounter Jesus and become more like Him over a lifetime.

📖

Love God

Worship, prayer, and scripture aren't religious obligations — they're how we stay connected to the source of life.

🤝

Love People

We're committed to real relationships, not surface-level Sunday smiles. Small groups, hospitality, and honesty.

🌎

Serve the World

From neighborhood needs to international partnerships, we put our faith in motion through generosity and service.

What We Believe

Rooted in scripture, shaped by historic Christianity.

Cedar Hollow is a non-denominational, evangelical church. We hold to the historic Christian faith summarized in the Apostles' and Nicene creeds, and we believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God.

The Bible

The 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, authoritative Word of God — sufficient for faith and life.

One God, Three Persons

We worship one God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in nature, distinct in person.

Jesus Christ

Fully God and fully human. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and is returning.

Salvation by Grace

We're saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone — not by anything we earn or achieve on our own.

The Holy Spirit

God's Spirit lives in every believer, transforming us into the likeness of Jesus and empowering us for ministry.

The Church

The church is God's family — local communities of believers gathered for worship, discipleship, and mission.

A Few Distinctives

What you'll notice about us.

Every church has a flavor. Here's a little of ours:

  • 📖

    Bible-centered teaching

Sermons walk through entire books of the Bible at a measured pace. We trust scripture to set the agenda.

  • 🪕

    Mountain hospitality

Coffee, biscuits, and front-porch friendliness. We work hard to make sure no one stays a stranger.

  • 👶

    Multi-generational

Babies in the back pew, teens leading worship, grandparents teaching kids. Every age belongs here.

  • 🌲

    Locally rooted, globally aware

We support seven local nonprofits and three international partners through our mission budget.

Come check us out this Sunday.

The best way to know if Cedar Hollow is a fit is to come visit. We'd love to save you a seat.
